The Campsite is small and friendly and peopled by long-stay British residents (always ready to help out when needed), Spanish week-enders and short-stay international campers. It is run by an Anglo-Spanish couple and their children. Pleasantly green with a variety of trees and flowers, it is constructed on a series of terraces which descend from the main entrance. The cabins are not built in a uniform manner or in a regimented order, as on many other sites, but each has its own characteristics and the plots, which are ample, also vary in appearance. Access is controlled by a reception office and an electronically controlled gate. The area is fenced and has emergency exits.
The Campsite is about 2kms from the nearest town, Totana, in a rural area (mainly vineyards & almond groves) with hills in the background.
Totana is a pleasant, typical working Spanish town of about 20,000 inhabitants which offers a weekly market and an efficient health centre as well as all the usual services such as P.O., banks, shops etc. There are full English speaking services, banks, PO, shops & offices at the nearby Urbanization of Camposol (20mins away by car on a good road).
Both St Javier (Murcia) & Alicante Airports are about an hour’s drive away.
Totana has a railway station with regular trains to Lorca & Murcia.
From Murcia there are train & bus connections to Alicante, Almeria & Madrid.
There is a bus service to surrounding places such as Aledo, MazarrÁ³n.
There are special buses & trains to the beaches in the summer.
Both the coast & the Sierra de EspuÁ±a National Park are about 30mins drive away.
